Manila tour confirmations

With Malaysia announcing this week that they will be unable to tour to HK (as had been penned in for July 25), the chance to grab some international football experience and honours in Manila becomes an absolute must.

The Manila tour departing May 29 is locked and loaded. Fares are booked and accom is being finalised as we read. Full cost info will be out this week. But you need to confirm now.

While the Dragons troops marked ANZAC Day in HK in reverential style, President Bogan completed a tour of duty to the Battlefields of P Burgos Street in Manila. Philippines Eagles President, Fat Cat, confirmed the Dragons would field two (evenly divided) teams in the competition against the home side and visitors from Malaysia and China. The Dragons will be defending the title won last year.

To secure your spot on one of the best-attended tours on the itinerary, email tours@hk-dragons now. Fares are rockbottom now so this the cheapest option of the year. If possible, indicate if you will be flying with the team or arranging own flights and/or hotel. If you have a preferred room partner, also stipulate this.

Footnote: Given the Prez bagged three majors before half time in the PAFL ANZAC match, after 56 games for two goals with the Dragons, there could be a few claims being made for midfield and forward roles. Those at training will be rewarded with the most game time.

Gaggs gags: The moment the Bombers hit the lead at the 30min mark of final quarter on ANZAC Day.

Shatin Race day
Limited places are now available for the Dragons monstrous Shatin Race day on Saturday 9 May. Coach to the track, box, food, drink, race book etc. Just $550. Email social@hk-dragons.com to confirm your attendance. Partners, friends welcome. This is seriously limited to 40 people and only a few spots are left (Be warned, this is NOT a sales pitch).

Dedicated Dragons coach will leave around 11.30am from Central and leave Shatin around 6pm. With unlimited beer, wines and spirits on offer, Woodsy insists he will provide toilet facilities on the bus (maybe a coke bottle).

ANZAC Day
The Dragons pay homage to the Diggers' day with an afternoon steeped in the celebratory traditions of our great nation. Chook raffles, two-up and an amazing game of footy that saw the Pies squander the unsquanderable in the last two minutes to Essendon.

A huge contingent of Dragons and supporters was at Bulldogs LKF for the occasion. Thanks to Sponsors Meatmarket.hk, Cellardoor wines and Bulldogs, the club also managed to raise more than $4,000 with three huge raffles. The two-up game also bought the house down and saw some big fistfuls change hands on the fall of the authentic ANZAC pennies.

Dragons publicity
The Dragons feature in an article in the current edition of HK Timeout magazine on pg 14. It hit the newstands on April 18. Be sure to pick up a copy.
