The St Kilda jumper was sold before the final siren

Almost 300 people attended the Dragon's massive Grand Final ballroom party, to witness Geelong stealing a last-minute victory of the hapless St Kilda.

With the Dragons manning the bars, the beer (thanks to Fosters) and wine flowed freely throughout a long afternoon and into a protracted and increasingly vague evening.

After some opening welcome addresses by the Dragons and Aussie Association heirarchy, MCs Paul Hart and 'Teddy' Whitten took the mic and orchestrated a hugely successful auction and prize draws.

A football signed by the Brisbane Lions fetched HK$2,000. Next off the anvil was the signed Sydney Swans jumper that fetched 5 grand, a Carlton jumper that went for $8,500 and topping the bill, the signed St Kilda jumper that went for more than $12,000 (but failed to appreciate in value after the final siren).

Cash prizes went for the first goal of the day (kicked by Max Rooke) and the Norm Smith (won by Geelong's Paul Chapman) and door prizes included accommodation in Japan at Niseko Fresh Powder Apartments, an ipod from SMATS tax and property, prizes from Adelaide Cellar Door Wines and Meatmarket.hk.
