The schedule for training for the next 4 weeks will be quite varied. All details are below. This Saturday's hike is a great fitness workout and chance to get out of the city and take in some special HK scenery. Also a chance to secure a spot on the Dragons photo gallery to show the folks overseas what they're missing, as we will be compiling a photo gallery of the day's assault on the notorious Twin Peaks.
The training schedule is:
Saturday April 5th: There will be a (compulsory) team assault on the Wilson trail from "Parkview" to Stanley. Start at 10:30am and finishing at Stanley Main beach. Perhaps an ideal chance to have your family/friends meet you there for a drink and lunch (and swim?) about 1:00pm at the beach. Make it a team and family event.
Parkview is a housing estate on the Hill behind the Hong Kong Cricket Club (taxis will know it but the steep walk up from the cricket club starts at the petrol station if you get off a #6 or #66 bus there). We will meet at the very crest of the hill at Parkview and leave promptly at 10:30am. If you have never done this walk, bring water and some easily carried food - energy bars, bananas etc.
We have lost the Happy valley pitch for two weeks and had to access Stanley Ho sports grounds at HKU, Sandy Bay Road, Pokfulam for the following two weeks: Only Saturdays available. Taxis or number 10 Green Mini bus at Admiralty are the best ways to get there.
Sat 12th April: 5pm-6:30 synthetic football field Sandy Bay road (Runners only)
Sat 19th April: 11am - 12:30pm synthetic football field Sandy bay Road (Runners only)
Sunday 27th April 4:30-6:00 back to the Happy Valley grass.
